Teachers Day 2025

Image
My Teacher, My Hero October 9, 2025  Teachers are truly the unsung heroes of our nation. The theme of this year’s Teacher’s Month Celebration, “My Teacher, My Hero,” reminds us of how teachers serve as guiding lights in every student’s life. They dedicate their time, effort, and love to ensure that we not only gain knowledge but also learn the values that make us good citizens. Their patience and commitment to education help shape our character and our dreams for the future.  I express my gratitude to my teachers by showing respect, listening attentively during class, and doing my best in my studies. Simple gestures like saying “thank you,” greeting them with a smile, and following their advice show that I appreciate their sacrifices. On Teacher’s Day, I also like to write short letters or give small tokens of appreciation to make them feel valued and loved.  Teachers play a big role in molding our future. They inspire us to be better each day and to believe that w...

Climate Change and Resilience of the Filipinos

Image
Climate change is increasingly becoming a critical challenge for the Philippines, a country vulnerable to extreme weather events such as typhoons, floods, and droughts. Rising sea levels, stronger storms, and unpredictable rainfall patterns have intensified the vulnerability of its diverse ecosystems, agriculture, and coastal communities. Given its geographical location in the Pacific Typhoon Belt, the Philippines experiences an average of 20 typhoons a year, which often cause widespread damage to infrastructure, homes, and livelihoods. This climate-related vulnerability not only threatens the nation’s economy but also endangers the lives of millions of Filipinos, especially those in marginalized and rural communities. Despite the overwhelming threats posed by climate change, Filipinos have demonstrated remarkable resilience. This resilience is rooted in a combination of community solidarity, adaptive strategies, and a deep cultural connection to the environment. Local communitie...

Intramurals 2025

Image
INTRAMURALS 2025 Intramurals in school are a highly anticipated event that brings students together through sports, teamwork, and school pride. It’s a time where everyone can showcase their talents and enjoy friendly competition. During our Intramurals, I had the unique opportunity to be part of an arnis exhibition. Instead of competing, we performed to demonstrate the skills, techniques, and cultural significance of this traditional Filipino martial art the ARNIS. It was an exciting experience to perform in front of a crowd, and although I felt nervous at first, the support from my classmates and teachers gave me confidence. The exhibition allowed me to share what I’ve learned and also promote the value of arnis as part of our heritage. It was a proud and unforgettable moment that made Intramurals even more meaningful for me.

1st Quarter Reflection

REFLECTION In the first quarter, I was able to learn many new things that helped me as a student. I realized how important time management is, the value of staying organized, and how making a study plan can make schoolwork easier to handle. These skills really guided me in keeping up with my tasks. Still, it wasn’t easy. One of the biggest challenges I faced was adjusting to the heavier workload. Like last school year, I didn’t have as many requirements, but now there’s so much more to do, and it was hard for me to cope at first. Managing my time was also difficult, and I often found it hard to focus while studying because I get easily distracted. There were also lessons that I struggled to understand, which made things even more challenging. To overcome these, I started making a study plan and tried to follow it consistently. I also managed my time better by limiting my use of social media when I needed to focus on studying. Whenever I couldn’t understand a lesson, I asked for he...

Nutrition Month Celebration 2025

Image
Every July, our school celebrates Nutrition Month, a time when we are reminded of how important healthy eating is to our daily lives. This celebration helps us become more mindful of the food we choose and encourages us to develop better habits. To make it more exciting, different activities are held such as fruit and vegetable salad making, Nutri Jingle, and a food festival.   One of the highlights is the Fruit and Vegetable Salad Contest, where students prepare creative and nutritious salads that promote healthy eating. Another fun event is the Nutri Jingle, where students perform songs that spread the message of proper nutrition and healthy living. The Food Festival is also something we look forward to Grade 10 students prepare and sell affordable yet nutritious meals for everyone to enjoy. There are also quizzes that test our knowledge about nutrition and the benefits of fruits and vegetables.   Celebrating Nutrition Month is meaningful because it reminds us to take...
